Sitting In The Stairwell

I drew this November 1, 2011 Tuesday. This is the second panel on page 27 of my sixth issue in my Sawaporn (atheist thai girl) graphic novel series. The actual drawing is actually very small. At this point in the issue, Sawaporn has just discovered that the homeless woman she allowed into her apartment has committed suicide. Her eyes are dark from an injury involving a crazy elderly woman with a can of pepper spray.

This picture is being published in a local art magazine called "Muse."

The graphic novel series is about a lonely, assertive Thai woman named Sawaporn and her failure to adapt to American culture. Sawaporn is an atheist, skeptic, feminist from Bangkok.
